When my son was three years old I started to notice how unhealthy I was. My mom, who I had never seen workout a day in my life, was bragging about this new workout she had started and loved. I went with her once and decided to sign up. As hard as it was physically it felt good to get out of the house and spend time with people who wanted to be healthy too. I did that program for a whole year. Although I didn’t see any scale or size differences it taught me to get into the routine of working out daily. My little sister (Taylor) heard that I actually found something I liked so she decided to go with me. She laughed after the workout and told me that was her daily warm up. She told me I had to try crossfit with her at least once. It both terrified and excited me. I went the next night with her and haven’t stopped since. Within 3 months 20 pounds had melted off me. The program I was doing before was a lot of body weight movements which left me feeling slow and fat everyday. At crossfit I could use my weight to move even more weight and it left me feeling happy and strong. Besides physically, as soon I started Crossfit I started to become emotionally strong. The first few months I wouldn’t even get out of the car to go in alone unless she was there. Now I can walk into any crossfit (or any place in general) and feel comfortable in my own skin. I quickly left a very unhealthy relationship I had been stuck in for 6 years. I went back to school and started a career that would have scared me to death in the past. It’s been 2 1/2 years now and crossfit has changed everything in my life completely for the better! I don’t even notice the weight or physical changes until people point them out.
