Fitness Membership

I get it. You have a Fitness Membership that you rarely use. You pay $10 a month for access to a facility with plenty of square footage and low energy. Lots of headphones, lots of selfies, and lots of space. Space that is occupied by machines, and space that is occupied by people on their phones scrolling through their feeds. No motivation, no gym buddies, no accountability, and boring exercises. Same week, same meal prep, same results, same Fitness Membership.

I get it. You have a hectic schedule. You have to be up early to take the kids to school. You are dreading having to go to work because of your job. Same schedule, same duties, same hustle. You have to pick up the kids after work. Practice. Games. Travel. Cooking. Cleaning. Bills. Is it Friday yet? Wait, you have so much to do on the weekend because of your kids, and your adulthood. Your energy is super low. Your clothes are getting a bit tighter. You’ve been eating out a lot because you have no time. You are feeling unmotivated. You need a Fitness Membership.

My friends, if you fall into either one of these categories it is time for reflection. It is time to look yourself in the mirror and ask yourself what you really want. Do you really want to spend the rest of your life at that unfulfilling job? Do you really want to get older and look yourself in the mirror one day with disgust because you didn’t take your health more seriously? Do you really want to REGRET living a life that could have been better and more positive if you just would have quit that stagnant job, or gone to the gym more often? It is time to stop making excuses and start making fitness a priority in your life. It is time to start doing things that make you happy. It is time to take control of your life and add more value. It is time to let your kids, just be kids and let them learn by failing. It is time to stop saying you don’t have enough time, and start making your time a priority. It is time to stop saying you are old when you aren’t even 30,40,50,60,70, or 80 years old yet. It is time to stop making life choices that are holding you back from your potential. Stop consuming alcohol every weekend. Stop blowing your money on things that don’t matter. Stop looking at your phone every second and look up and breathe the air that keeps you alive. Start telling the people that are in your life how much you care about them. Start looking for a career that will bring you happiness. Start looking for people that will support you and your goals. Start letting go of negative influences in your life. Start looking forward to Mondays. Start doing something that brings out the best in you. Start doing something that builds on your strengths. Start doing something that brings out the best version of yourself.

All you have to do is start. Regardless of what your lifestyle is, fitness needs to be a priority in your life. I don’t need to tell you the benefits of exercise, you know them. I don’t need to tell you that adding fitness in your life will make you much happier and much more confident. I don’t need to tell you that eating quality food will impact your health tremendously. And I don’t need to tell you that if you make fitness a priority, you will in fact have time for a Fitness Membership. Take control of your life. I care.
