Thank Your Coach

Somewhere in the world today, a coach woke up to provide value. Somewhere in the world today a coach was out the door by 4:30am to open up the gym for his members. Somewhere in the world today a coach sits in preparation for her members to arrive and start their day. Fueled by energy, fueled by a positive attitude, and fueled by inspiration. Inspiration to watch normal, day to day people fight obesity, fight low self-esteem, fight illness, and fight their battle with life’s obstacles.
Day after day, class after class, workout after workout, he is ready. Ready to help. Ready to inspire. Ready to workout. Ready to build. Each day hundreds of members walk into their gyms. Tired, unmotivated, helpless, and sometimes, defeated. Each day hundreds of members walk out of their gyms, motivated, inspired, and sometimes, victorious.
Somewhere in the world today, a coach is getting their workout in, alone. Just music, just thoughts, and just herself. Nobody to cheer them on the last minute of their workout, nobody to cheer them on after cycling a barbell for repetitions on their last round, and nobody to congratulate them after finishing under the time cap. Day after day, break after break, workout after workout, he is ready.
Quietly, humbly, she closes up the gym and heads home. Heads home with thoughts of getting better. Heads home with thoughts of improving his members. Heads home ready to wake up the next day and the conquer the best version of herself.
She changes the world around members everyday. He cares about them, she cares about their lives, and he cares about being the best she can be for herself, and for other people. There are few jobs in the world that change more lives, help millions of people, and make a difference in people’s lives than being a coach. He gets up everyday fired up about life, fired up about making a difference, and fired up to conquer his goals. Her family thinks she should quit and get a “real” job. His friends from school post photos of their trips, their materialistic belongings, and their new house. But she knows the truth. He knows why he does what he does…happiness, and maybe, there is nothing more to be said about this than thank you.
